Client story

A university’s solution to identify, triage and manage data cyber risks

 The challenge

A leading university recognized a need to re-examine its cybersecurity and risk management processes due to critical student, faculty and research data at stake.

 The solution

Based on survey results, the cyber team mobilized a governance, risk and compliance capability on a technology platform to manage risk intake, analysis, disposition and response.

 The outcome

The result for the university was an expanded safety net of rules and guidance, limited access to data by designated gatekeepers and centralized security operations.

Client story

How a beverage company refreshed its supply chain through powerful tech alliances

 The challenge

A lack of global integration led to wasted time, effort and money in drink production and warehousing.

 The solution

EY professionals performed an operational assessment and design plan with SAP Extended Warehouse Manager (EWM). They addressed inefficiencies using Procter & Gamble’s Integrated Work System and then delivered a global SAP EWM template replacing three legacy systems to enhance performance tracking and improving warehouse operations. We  also assisted with automating a storage and retrieval system and implementing laser-guided vehicles to handle movement of products within each warehouse. Packing and unpacking systems and process can also be a huge bottleneck. The EY team introduced SAP yard management to complete the supply chain transformation.

 The outcome

Beyond the cost savings of US$100 million, these projects added agility and improved the organization’s value to their customer through increased responsiveness to demand and better quality assurance.
